My favorite show was (and still is because I have not found one that I love nearly as much) Everwood. It was on the WB network, and about a teenage boy and his little sister. Their mother dies unexpectedly and their father, who is a world-famous brain surgeon, packs them up and moves them to the middle of nowhere (Everwood) Colorado. It is such a great story about the teenage years, relationships between children and parents, and real-life situations. After the WB decided to cancel it (jerks!) I went out and bought the first season on DVD (the other three seasons have not been released yet) and watched them all. Then, thankfully, the ABC Family channel was showing the whole series on re-runs, so I got a chance to watch the whole four years again. Since it finished, I have not seen it...and I am still waiting for the remaining seasons to be released on DVD.

What actually comes to mind is when my son was young --he's now 23 -- his favorite shows were MacGyver and Airwolf. When the shows went off the air --both times--he had tears in his eyes as he watched the last episode. He really felt bad when MacGyver went off the air mostly -- he absolutely loved that show. I felt so bad for him -- he has always been sentimental.
He felt a little better when he could watch the reruns after that.

My favorite TV Shows were Gunsmoke and Bonanza and of course they had a long run. Later on The Beverly Hillbillies were another one of my favorites along with Andy Griffith. When I was a little boy I was sad when Popeye The Sailor went off the air.

When Prison Break Season 1 stopped, I thought I would never survive until Season 2, about a year later, byt mysteriously, after about a month, I forgot about it, until it started again.

When Tales of the Crypt and Goosebumps went off air I resorted to scary movies and books. I always need a good scare.
