I'm about to turn 35, and I've been thinking about getting my nose pierced.?

Question

I'm a fairly attractive, down-to-earth, overweight, African-American woman about to turn 35, and I've been thinking about getting my nose pierced with a small diamond or gold stud.

I work at a architectural/engineering consulting firm where the attire is pretty much "business casual" (meaning, fairly business-like with clients-- but not Goldman-Sachs conservative, and pretty damn casual if just in the office on a day where there won't be any client meetings-- jeans and t-shirt are acceptable, though most people wear khaki's and nice sweaters or button-up shirts).

Should I do it? Are piercings passé? Am I too old? Will I stunt my career growth (I am actually thinking about pursuing jobs in international development in the future)? Will I impede opportunities to find a husband?

I genuinely have had my nostril pierced some circumstances. the longest i had it grew to become into for extra or less 8 months and it did no longer go away even a small mark. its in basic terms thick the place it was yet u cant tell till if u stick a finger interior my nostril lol. from the exterior its impossible to tell it grew to become into there. i think of its because of the fact mine under no circumstances particularly thoroughly healed. 2. when I met new human beings the adult males estimated me to be a slut and all wild yet thats no longer precisely 'me' and a few ladies theory it grew to become into wonderful and that i even had some lesbians question me out...... (unusual thoughts approximately that) 3. now im style of adversarial to physique piercings because of the way human beings judged me. i had extra piercings with that and that they werent all sturdy comments while i grew to become into reported in the back of my back. i think of u might seem particularly wonderful with it. it may be super if u lived in a community the place they dont decide lots. the place usa at do numerous persons have piercings? if there are various em then they might locate it extra ideal over there because of the fact they didnt over here.

Its a nose piercing its not forever unless you want it to be. You can put a clear one in at work if you feel the need. And do you think you are too old? Its what you think thats most important.

Get it done. Ive had my nose pierced for years now and i love it and if i am at work at a conservative event or anything its easy to just take it out. It will give you character

No offense, but I think if you were going to get a piercing, you should have done it a few years ago. It'll look a little...strange. I don't think it would stunt your business growth or keep you from getting a husband if it's small though. I woudn't go for it.

I am your age, and would definately have my nose pierced if I thought it would be a good look for me. Go for it, your work can't discriminate against you, and a nice little diamond stud is purely lovely.

I'm a casual long hair male Caucasian I'm 39 almost 40 still wear my earring from my 20s and my ponytail from my teens.as progressive as stuff is now i don't See how one small nose ring could hurt..just be as taste full as you know how.

a girl at my work who just turned 36 got hers done last week and i hate to say it but i think she is going through a mid life crisis.....why is it that woman do things in their 30s when in fact it should of been done in their teens?????

i think it is a good idea, it means you are hip and cute! why not? its not like it is going to a huge ring, just a tasteful jewel. i have to worn you, wash your makeup off every day! mine got so infected!
