Sounds like it's time to close this chapter of your life. If he doesn't want to work on things, then he doesn't have any worries or cares about it. Having an interest in preserving something would show he was still involved and willing to try. He isn't, he's made it clear, now it's your turn, what are you going to do? Do you want to stay in a loveless, lifeless, nonloving relationship? Is so, why? Why stay with someone that doesn't care about your happiness, or doesn't care if you are ill, or that you even exist, why? I see no reason. A marriage takes both people willing to work as a team together to form a strong bond between them. How do you define your marriage?

Well I wish I knew the answer to this question, my dear. Are we married to the same man?? I fear that many of these answers are a little quick to use the "D" word. Remember your wedding vows, and remember, you knew these things about him before you married him. I think that counselling may help both of you. Even books, like "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" I have the same problem with my husband. It's hard when you feel you do everything right, but it's never enough. I find that writing my hubby letters or emails with my opinion helps, as he has time to respond, and doesn't lash out instantly. ...
good luck,

the only one we can really change is ourselves, and how we relate to the relationship. some men are like this, they are hard to change, usually it ends in divorce, because no one even likes the other enough to sit down and communicate with the other one. if someone won't change it may be time to leave the marriage, people don't usually change alot, unless there is some kind of intervention somewhere, and most men aren't going to be open to change.

Talk it out or try to & if he can't respect u enough to listen it may be time for u to move on. I know it is hard but if u feel down no matter what u try u will be exhausted trying to make a man happy who will never be & he will tear u down. Somethings got to give for better or worse u have to choose.

Get some help. Try counseling. If he won't go, you can go yourself. You might learn new ways to handle who he really is.
If nothing works, get a divorce. There's no reason to spend the rest of your life miserable.

Try your hardest not to result to divorce. Get some counseling and try to talk to him in a calm way no matter what he says. I know it's easier said than done, trust me I really know but it will help. Just get counseling.

He sounds like a very selfish and spoiled boy who was pampered by his parents. He expects the same of you or acts like a boy. Put your foot down and leave if necessary.
