It sounds like your husband is trying to portray himself as something that he's not. Don't blame the woman...blame your husband! Now, if the woman keeps showing up, then you blame the woman and take care of business.

Men can be so dumb sometimes. Married men that are not on the look don't always recognize when they are being schmoozed by the opposite sex. Over time they do however, respond to the ego stroking that is presented by this T.W.I.T. Don't be surprised if he thinks you are a jealous lunatic after you convey your take on this incident.
Vigilance is in order for this situation...this may be the start of an "emotional affair". Most people spend more awake time with co-workers than they do with their spouse. Make the time you spend together quality time.

Wow! She's a real b*tch! I would be talking to him about that right away. At my work people flirt endlessly and harmlessly, but we're all very respectful to one another's spouses. I mean, if we get to know them and they have a sense of humour about things and don't feel threatened, then we might say something like that jokingly, but never truthfully.

I would ask her what she meant by all of this and if he was hitting on her or not and just what the getting to know him consisted of? I also would ask you husband as well about her and see what he says.... She could be having an affair with him OR she could just be trying to cause trouble. You just never know.

I wouldn't be thinking good things, that's for sure. Don't get too upset, you don't have enough to prove anything.
