I have naturally red/brown hair. I color it professionally every 2 months to keep the natural color and add highlights/lowlights. However, I have always wanted to go blonde - at least for a little while, but I'm a bit nervous about actually doing it at my next appointment. What if I don't like it? I guess I can recolor it. It's just a very drastic change from my naturally darker hair (btw, I have 3 naturally blonde sisters).
What do you think? Should I take the chance and go for it (under the care and guidance of a pro, of course)? Can you share your stories of going blonde and your reactions to the change?
Thanks, guys!

Do the blonde on top and dark underneath technique. It is so cool. And will help you in your total decision later on.

If you decide to do it yourself, use a creme solution, nothing with peroxide, this causes an orange hue. Go to Salleys, they sell to the pros and will give you great advice.
But there is nothing like getting it done professionaly. Cost a fortune, and keeping it up is a fortune, so if you have the dough, go for it.

Ive had all colours of hair. My natural is blonde.
Ive also had black (made me look too pale), red (looked good), brown (alright), purple (lets not even go there) and now blonde again.

Everyone commented on how good I look now and how blonde suits me the best. I have pale skin & blue eyes so maybe thats why it suits me.

Ive also found that I can wear anything and my hair colour doesnt clash.

I love being a blonde and would never go back!!

i have red/brown hair naturally and i went blonde and it looks fantastic. Don't bleach it because then it looks really tacky. The key is to get maybe a half head of blonde foils done first if your really worried and so you can get used to it and then get the full head of foils done your second appointment

It depends on your skin tone and eye color.
Trying new things is always fun, especially with hair color.
You can always change it back.
I naturally have dark brown hair.
I've bleached/dyed my hair countless times ( I've never had it done professionally ) and I've always been happy with my results. It takes awhile to get used to yourself with a different hair color, but its a fun change.
