No. GL has said he isn't making anymore Star Wars movies, though something TV is not out of the question.

there's a team of books by technique of Timothy Zahn called The Thrawn Trilogy. the guy books are 'inheritor to the Empire', 'darkish stress turning out to be' and The final Command. The activities in those books ensue 5 years after the activities of episode VI (return of the Jedi) that's the main familiar and respected storyline between followers. And while asked, I guess the familiar public might say that it would probably be made right into a movie.

I believe it is to be a hoax. From what I read via Vanity Fair...I think. It was one of the more popular magazines when Episode 1 came out.
A TV show focusing on the hunt for the Jedi as Luke and Leia grow up is what he had stated he was working on.

at first in a star wars magazine (i can't remember which one) lucas said that he DID have plans on making episodes VII, VIII and IX, but recently, he said he abandoned all plans to make this "dream-come-true" for all star wars fans like me come true. in another words, there is NOT going to be another 3 star wars episodes, unless he changes his mind again... let's hope he does!!!
however, latest i've heard, they're making a cartoon series about what happened between episode III and episode IV.

no, no. ur all wrong. the cartoon one is the clone wars dvds. the clone wars series aired on cartoon network some time ago. as for the rumors, lucas told fox news that he wasn't going to make any more movies. i quote, "it's time now that i can do whatever i want. i plan on making art-sy movies, because now i can afford for them to fail *chuckle*" it's been rumored in the star wars community that his adopted son might make them, but who knows. he's already written the plots for 7 8 and 9 but that doesn't mean anything...

Nooooo!!! Please, God, say it isn't so!!!! The prequels were so wretched! I can't imagine that sequels would be anything short of the essence of putrescence!!
That said, IMDB does not show them as being in the making, so as of right now this is surely nothing short of a rumor. If they were officially in the works, they would be on IMDB. I pray they stay a rumor. Let the poor series rest before it gets ruined any more than it already has.

LOL i heard that rumor as far back as 14 years ago.
Lucas said he would think about it but changed his mind.
there has also been talks of television shows and of course the cartoons. Lucas really liked the cartoon format.
My guess is, no there will not be a third trilogy in theaters, but maybe... MAYBE.... one in cartoon form.

Hard to say.
Lucas might do them based on the Timothy Zahn books.
He said at one point they were better than what he had thought up for after episode 6.
