would you do adam laroche and troy glaus for miguel tejada?

Yeah that's fair - I'll give you Tejada for those two...

The real answer is that it depends on your needs. What is it that you hope to get from Tejada that you don't already have with Glaus? The only thing Miggy brings is 60-70 avg points
Glaus is ahead in most other categories. Now you add LaRoche, another 30HR's and 100rbi's.. maybe a .290 avg this year - I don't think he will hit as many HR's in Pitt. But still a top 20 1B.
So by taking Miggy you are up 60 avg points at one position and giving up 40 HR's and 100 RBI's.
Is the increase in BA worth it?

I wouldn't do it.

I'm never really a fan of trading 2 of the same type players for one in baseball simply because it is so numbers driven. By giving up Tejada for Glaus and Laroche you lose essentially twice Miguel's production for one stud.

The answer depends on

(a) how stacked you are at 3B and 1B.
(b) who is your current SS

Tejada is a top-5 SS, and middle-infielders with power come at a premium - and that's the key. Laroche and Glaus aren't slouches either, but it's not as hard to find power at those positions (especially 1B).

On paper, you may be giving up more, but you have to take account who you're left with as 3B and 1B after the trade.

Ya I guess so. But, its risky LaRoche will have a great season this year but, Glaus has a horrible batting average.

i would never trade for tejada he's way overrated in my opinion. if i was getting laroche and glaus hell yeah i'd make that trade.

i would like to get tejada cause personally i think laroche is ok but glaus is gonna faulter
