I ma going to be in London the first three days, take the chunnel train to Paris for 3 days, and an overnight train to be in Madrid the last three days, and I will also visit Toledo for part of one of these days....so yeah. England, France, and Spain...=)

Any suggestions? thanks!

Oh my short time for ur trip.Let's see...London u can hop on the red double deck bus tour company, it takes u around London wer u can hop on & off at any designated stops. With that u can buy a map,so that u can make sure u know wer ure goin, ie : the Palace , Etc.Also dont forget to grab the ride on the British Airways London-eye & shoppin at the famous Oxford Street. From there, when u arrive in Paris, visit the Notre Dame, Louvre Museum,Eiffel Tower,Invalides..etc.For every country u visit, best u buy a map that features famous significant tourists attractions. Just before u depart, best u google up what wud interest u the most so that u make it a point to go see it when ure there! Have fun!

Agree that you should have started planning last year.

BTW, do you have global Eurail pass? Because otherwise the train tickets will cost you an arm and a leg.

A nice city to see in Spain would be Barcelona. A sight that you should not miss in Spain is the Alhambra in Granada. In April it is still cool enough there that the heat will not kill you.

And if you are visiting Toledo and Granada, you could make a tour of Moorish Spain. If you develope a taste for it, you can also dip into Morocco too. Take the ferry and the night train to Marrakech, and fly back to London at the end of the trip.

9 days with jet lag on the first. You are going to be run off your feet. Any of the cities you mentioned need more than 3 days just for a quick fly through visit. Tours of any buildings can consume half a day when you tack on travel time between tourist sites. If all you've got is 10 days then that is pretty much a full deal. If you have more time, you might want to consider daytime travel between cities so you can see some of the countryside. Bon voyage and remember to wear comfortable shoes for all the walking.

Good!
When you comer in London buy instant a 3 day travel card(it's save you money for the tube and time) places to visit:
Westminster, Camden town (trendy hippie shops), Covent garden (the atmosphere!), Portobello road (on Saturday big flea market).
Also buy a travel card for the tube in Paris: see Arc the triumph,Eiffel tower, Louvre Museum and if you really like the arts go a bit away to Versailles.
Paris is expensive to Eat & drink. For drinks(beware!) you have several prices : on the bar(cheapest) on the table in the cafe, on the window in the cafe, on the teracce (most exspensive!)
