Oh! Oh! My PS3?

Question

Is the PS3 good? Its not out in England yet. Is it worth the money, or is the price $hit?

i heard that it has AMAZING graphics and i really good memory system. it's also just like the psp on the main menu, and the controlers, which are wireless, can learn you moves on individual games, so if you are racing and your ps3 knows you like to make sharp turns a lot, then it can make those turns easier for you. i think the ps3 is really good and is top quality. it's all your opinion of what you like best.

I believe as with any console that first comes out, it has GREAT potential. 7 Cell processors? I mean Xbox 360 is good and has a lot of great games, but the reality is that the PS3 has bluray right out of the box, open platform (you can put linux on it and use it as a regular computer powerhouse) and it has a six axis controller (kinda gimmicky but xbox 360 doesn't have this)

The bluray disk format can contain 25 GB of data, compared to the HD format the Xbox 360 uses only up to 7.4 GB. Think about that, I would much rather have games later in the life cycle of the system to have potentially amazing textures and long storylines. Also remember how well the PS2 has done, and the old Xbox was very very far ahead of that console (and easier to develop for) and yet it failed compared to the sony product. The end result will be what the public chooses, which with franchises like Final Fantasy after a year or so, I can see a very strong rivalry.

I think you should wait a bit, but I do think it will come out strong as the PSP has recently been doing. (Which btw, is my FAVORITE console bar none)

It really depends on the games. With the US launch, it was a disaster because most of the launch games were terrible, so not a lot of people were interested in buying the PS3 after Christmas. Then it took another 3 months before another good game came out.

I don't know what the launch games are for the UK, but if you don't find any games that you want to play, then it's better to save your money and buy the PS3 when there are more games for it. Of course, if you didn't pre-order by now, you're probably not going to be able to get one on launch day.

The ps3 will be great, and worth every penny. You can link a psp to use in driving games as a rear view mirror. How cool is that?

I honestly don't think any console arriving this late in the game and with that kind of pirce tag is worth the money.

I have paid 600 euros for 1,and get it on the 31 of this month
Im in Iraq at the moment with HM Forces(My last tour and then im home for good!ive bought it for my step son)
if somebody has fun with a consol , its worth the money!!
