I just got back from one tonight. It was nothing special just pizza and movies.

If your budget is $500 then have a formal dinner party in your home. Have it catered and request the guests to wear formal clothes such as evening gowns and tux's. If your home isn't big enough then rent out the local community centres ball room or party room. You can have a Boom Box or DJ as well. Be creative.

How about a theme party? You can do a princess party. I am 31 & I still love a Barbie party! You could do a night under the stars and have everyone dress up like thier fave Disney Princess & the guys could dress up. Ask some family to help with food & try the dollar store for stuff. And party stores. And ask her what she wants.

If it's something small like that, I agree with the classy dinner thing. Also, if she wants maybe get a bunch of manicure/pedicure goodies as well as face masks and let her have a spa night/sleepover after.

Edit** not that I think 500 dollers is small, I just meant since it's not a huge party thing. I think it's sweet you are planning this.

Try setting reservations for 12 at a local restaurant. Tell her to take her best friend and her to a hair salon to have their hair done and set up a spa type party afterword.

Look up some homemade masks and have each person mix up a special one. Like have the different ingredients in bags with a printed-out description of what each one does.

The essential oils mentioned can be bought at local health stores.

This would make a cool bonding experience for your daughter and her friend. Each person could make a mask just for them and they can try each others out. Also l would try to buy some different colors of nail polish for everyone to use.
