Could one use a very weak, gentle, pliable, non-skid rug "liner" to work?
Hmm...or for that matter, some sort of rubber textured water proof piece of textile used for incontinence?
I'm thinking so. One not need have a large one that covers the bed, either. Just maybe the size of a throw would hold an entire satin coverlet, bedspread or underside of some comforter which has a satin like side might work?
I think I might try that as I saw a faux fur coverlet that I'd like to buy but worried about this issue. That is why I'm here at this excellent question!
What a great item to make and sell! Just re-label a box of something like that used for incontinence or to make rugs skid-proof? I see $$$.

I have a thing for pillows! Decorator pillows, boudoir pillows, you name it. I have the same comforter that you describe so I decorate with pillows- creating a "pile" on the bed, using all shapes and sizes in coordinating colors and interesting textures. If the weight of the pillows isn't enough to keep the comforter from sliding, then you can fold, or drape a small coverlet, throw, quilt, etc. at the foot of the bed. This also makes the bedroom very warm, comfortable, and inviting....

There is no way. Do not try to sleep under it. Get something else to keep you warm. Or redecorate
