It could psychologic or psychiatric but something along those lines. Help please?

Haven't a clue as to garden party.
Someone could have a "garden variety" (commonly occurring) dis-ease like depression. Everyone has it, these days. It seems like that.
There is something called vegetative state which means that there are no higher brain functions.
Sorry. I'm stumped. Might have to dig a little deeper.

Don't know. I've read that hydrocephalics display what is called "cocktail-party syndrome," which means they are good at small talk but don't delve deeply into subjects.
