History
Hope's baby girl was conceived on the show December 15th, 2005 just before the death of her brother Zack. After Zack's death her parents Bo Brady and Hope Brady split up after Hope learned that it was Bo's daughter Chelsea that had killed Zack with Bo's car and that Bo had knew all along. Hope went to a place called Morgan Island and ran into one of her friends named Patrick Lockhart. Bo was doing everything he could to reach Hope including sending emails apologizing for everything that he had done. Chelsea meanwhile was intercepting these emails and changing them so that they would say that Bo wasn't sorry and that he was in love with his ex-wife Billie Reed. Hope was devastated by these emails and soon turned to Patrick for comfort, they then made love.

Hope returned to Salem and demanded a divorce from Bo who couldn't understand what was going on. Chelsea continued to break them up by having Billie get into bed with Bo while he was asleep so that Hope would see them together. Chelsea meanwhile went on trial for killing Zack, but because of a DVD that showed her driving Bo's car while talking on her cell phone went missing, she was only sentenced 200 hours of community service. The disc disappeared because Chelsea's grandmother Kate Roberts paid a police officer to steal it. But because of Bo's great luck, he was in the evidence room at the same time as when the officer stole it, so he was blamed.

Hope was so angry that she filed for divorce, but at the divorce hearing Billie rushed in and admitted to Hope that it was she and Chelsea that set Bo up and that he was innocent. Very soon after, it was revealed that Bo didn't take the evidence disc. Bo and Hope grew close again and things were looking up.

At Jennifer Horton and Frankie Brady's wedding on June 27, 2006 Hope fainted and was rushed to the hospital were she learned that she was pregnant. She was overjoyed but one thing put a damper on the celebration; was the baby Bo's or Patrick's? After tests were done Hope concluded that the baby was indeed Patrick's!

Even with this information Bo and Hope continued to grow closer and soon fell back in love over Christmas. Patrick realized this and soon kidnapped Hope and took her to an abandoned warehouse were he planned to take her out of town. Unfortunately for Patrick, Bo soon found them right as Hope's water broke! Bo busted in and helped her deliver the new baby girl on December 29, 2006. Patrick then told Bo that he had bribed Hope's doctor into changing the test results into showing that he was the father when Bo really was! Patrick went to jail and Bo and Hope went to the hospital with their "new miracle".

In reality, the name of the baby was the subject of a contest on NBC.com. "Ciara Alice" received 40% of the final vote. [1]
