This is basic description, you should look up more since it sounds like you are writing a paper.

Roman Republic: A representative government, not a pure democracy.
British Traditions: Magna Carta. The Parliament.
ACE: Wanted increased states rights, decreased federal authority.
Enlightenment: The ideas of the Declaration of Independence were taken almost exclusively from John Locke and natural law.
