sperm induce labour?

i am due on monday... i am 3 cm dialted the doc told me that the baby should be out by saturday... ive been doing some research on the internet and heard from my friends also that sperm can induce labour... is this true?

CONGRATS ON YOUR SOON TO BE BABY!!!

Sperm does not actually induce labor but there is a component in it called prostaglandin which can help soften the cervix.
