Think of how intricate the pictures are on REAL money. Then try to design a "zero dollar" bill.
Avoid green if you are in the US- it could be mistaken for forgery, and green is over-used anyway.

You might be surprised at what you can create when your subconcious mind takes over.
Make any geometric shape on a page...say an octagon. Start adding shapes to it, going around it, or in waves from any point, trying to create a pleasing design. Think of spikes, circles, organic shapes like amoebas. Think of stained glass, of little mosaics of shape. Create something you might want to fill with color.
Another idea: use a dark pencil and create people or animal shapes without drawing an outline. Create the shapes, starting from within the shape - kind of scumbling or scratching, if you will. Seurat did this. Work quickly and you will be surprised how "human" or how real your shapes look.

Buy a sketchbook and a good drawing pen, go downtown.
Find a comfy place with lots of human traffic.
And start to draw people you see.
Observe the human anatomy in motion.

If your bored and want an idea of what to draw, you should attempt to draw what is challenging or something you can't draw.
You arn't going to find interest or inspiration drawing something that is routine!
Or, draw somthing that is routine, but in a difficult or challenging way.
Only you can know what that will be!
...Don't draw what you can see...but what you can't...

Have a friend, relative, ect. write 10 different ideas on ten different pieces of paper-close you eyes and draw one slip of paper-that's what you have to draw! : )
