Hey, you did not say I had to have a correct or informative answer!
The only way you are gonna view cherry blossoms in or around Illinois is to find some cherry trees. Mitchell Domes in Milwaukee, WI might have a display. Cherry orchards will definately have cherry blossoms, but you will have to wait till the trees are ready to blossom.

Washington, IL in central Illinois has a cherry blossom festival, but whether or not they actually have cherry blossoms is another thing.

other than the great technological internet, i'm not quite sure. "Sakura" as it is called is actually a gift from Japan given to us. Many of them are planted everywhere now. There are known ones around the WAshington DC. I'm not sure where in Illinois tho. However, during the spring season they will pop up, so keep an eye out.

I'm not sure about Illinois. But I'm from Wisconsin, and there are actually festivals held in Door County when there are cherry blossoms.

Here's some website with details:

They are quite pretty around Quincy, IL, but they aren't blooming yet. Check with their Chamber of Commerce for the dates.
