because it is easier for a person to accuse the person criticising them of hate than to actually deal with the criticism.

The problem is that you presume the right and power to approve or disapprove of another human being's life - and worse, you do so based on your own personal religious interpretations which are, from the start, based on personal bias.
I've yet to find ANYTHING in God's Word which states that God is against the love and marriage of any two unrelated adult human beings of the same gender. In fact, I created a website proving beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Bible not only approves of homosexual identty, but supports it! But you are probably one of those people who are so sure that you know it all and couldn't possibly be wrong and therefore you won't accept the evidence. Even if God Himself came down and told you in person you'd probably say it was the devil.

You have every right to do so, but you dont have to go out and shout it.
I dont approve religion, I believe it is only something made up by certain people so they could control the masses and gain power. I dont approve something that had so much blood on its name, and that in its book it says that slavery and killing people are ok.
But I keep my mouth shut and dont go around churches telling people how much I hate their choice. You want people to accept you for your beliefs yet you cant accept others who dont choose to be homosexuals. I guess you think it is a choice, cos it would be opposing your beliefs otherwise, so I guess all gays world wide suffer from mass delusion since we know it was not our choice.
You are not hateful, you are narrowminded, a bigot and you let a 2000 years old book which is not proven to be true to guide your life and tell you who to disapprove.
-edit-
Also you dont just disappove it, but in a previous answer you called it immoral, disguting (I never heard Jesus being "disgusted" by anyone) and perverted. Do I sense some personal hate agenta backed up by religion just to justify it?
Thats hateful, Im sorry. At least I hope that you come here to spread your hatred, AFTER spending the rest of your day feeding and clothing the poor, helping others, letting your enemies slap you on both cheeks, giving all your money to charity and praying for everyone even us.
-re-edit-
And it is not our fault that you are a small nerdy guy that cant get chicks. I guess this is where all the problems start...sorry that we are big and handsome usually, guess someone is green with envy. I hope you get some, it might relieve your tension.

While you should accept people because of who they are, I feel nobody should consider you hateful just because you have different views. I do not approve of organized religion, but I respect all people, religious or not.
You must understand though, that the Bible has been translated many times. Also, does it not say "Judge not lest ye be judged" in the bible? Maybe you should follow that.
My opinion, is as long as you respect homosexuals for being who they are and following what they believe, you should get the same respect for being different yourself.

It all really just depends on how you go about showing your disapproval. If you just simply say "I don't approve," or "I don't agree," or something to that nature then nobody cares. However, if you go around saying all homosexual people will rot in hell and deserve to get AIDS and die, and are less than human and genetic freaks of nature and sinners and the same as pedophiles (just a few of the things I have the pleasure to hear said about me) then you pretty much come off as hateful. I wouldn't go and say horrendous and hurtful things to you based on your lifestyle choices, and I expect and deserve the same respect in return.
BTW, when are you speaking of this disapproval? Is it to people in your life, or is it just on some random forum like YA? If it is just on YA , that is kind of odd and pointless. What good is that doing? Your choice, not mine, but just the same I think it's strange.

Not all people who oppose Homosexuality are considered hateful You become hateful when you try to belittle others that do not match your vision of what this society should be like. You become hateful when you try to take your religious beliefs and try to make them into secular law. This is a way of forcing your religious beliefs on others. You are hateful when you use these beliefs to hurt others. Example.. (Rev Philips)

I hardly think you know God's Word. What you have been told is a twisted version of God's Word. Learn the difference.

you have every right to your opinion, but is it really "yours?"
do you believe in all the lies, assumptions and generalizing stereotypes you've been fed all your life? sure, believe whatever b.s. you want to believe, but at least quit sticking it in our faces all the time. you think we haven't heard this crap a million times? I AM a Christian, and I know that God created and loves us all. The Bible was written by MAN, not God...and has been re-translated and quoted out of context to justify all kinds of bigotry over the years, it's pathetic. do you actually know anyone gay or lesbian? or do you just pass blanket judgment upon all of us and use religion to justify it?
why don't you carefully read the Bible...and not take things out of context, and find out what it really says!

The problem is that you don't need to disaprove of homosexuals, you need to disaprove of homosexual behaviors. Homosexuals are flawed humans just like you or I. We all have our vices and issues that we struggle with. I too agree that homosexuality is a sin, but so is lying (which I've done) and pride, (haven't we all?) So when you disaprove of homosexuals yes, you do come off looking hateful. Instead you need to love them as Christ loves us. Dispite their flaws, and help them understand why you believe what you believe.

It's your right to have your opinions as far as you leave them alone. It's hateful when you intefer in someones lives and start preaching to them constantly when they do not care. Not everyone believes in your God. I think it's hilarious when Christians tell people who aren't that they are going to Hell. Well they do not believe in Hell so I doubt you are doing much to scare them. I doubt you'd like it if people started killing Christians or straight people or getting in your face about your beliefs.
