Chavez does not want the same that happened to Argentina happening to his country.

He has been elected, whether the US likes it or not, and Chavez does not want to be overthrown by any US backed terrorist opponent. After all Bush senior sponsored him and when he failed the coup he called him an idiot.

Recent past has seen Latin American countries being stripped out of their natural resources for US economic benefit. Recent past has seen terrorist attacks and military coups backed up y the US in the name of US economic interests.

What Chavez is doing is renegotiating contracts with US corporations and that does not please shareholders and their representatives (the US president)

Any nation can claim back corporations operating in their country. It's called sovereignty, and what Chavez is doing is claiming these back so that he can renegotiate the agreements, made to exclusive US benefit, so that Venezuela can benefit with its natural resources. Venezuela's oil reserve is one of the biggest and OPEC started when Venezuela approached the Middle East in the 50s.

Brazil's President Lula Da Silva and its government was threatened with sanctions by the US when he went to power. Just because he had the same idea as Chavez

The US administration is so scared that what is happening in Argentina will happen to other South American countries that Bush went to Brazil.

The problem is that people there are not illiterate and not blind to the US might.

The problem with Latin America is that the wealth is being shared by US corporations, or its local subsidiaries, and a local elite that has their bank accounts in the US.

Right or left, liberals, communists or right wing fascists, it does not matter their political inclination. What their government is doing is finishing the imperial ruling of US corporations in their countries and allowing their own people to have access to their riches, not the US.

ok so i'm at a loss for words. Hugo Chavez is a fabricated from the Bush administration? He tried to steer an unsuccessful coup in ninety 2 hostile to a democratically elected authorities that replaced into impeached a year later by suitable channels. So perhaps his betrayal of democratic procedure earned him his anti-American, anti-democracy identify. He replaced into elected President in ninety 8, at the same time as Clinton replaced into the U.S. president and at the same time as Bush jr. replaced into the governor of Texas. Please at the same time as attempting to blame Bush do somewhat study first. I advise there are valid issues to blame on him yet do extra useful than this. the purely way that you'll say he's a fabricated from the Bush admin. is the actual shown actuality that it replaced into the Bush admin. that got here out hostile to him. it truly is because liberals and Clinton does no longer dare call everybody out on being a terrorist or supporter of such moves, and in the experience that they did, they does no longer do something about it. They were weak on terrorist activities and weak on protection and this has been shown time and time back. merely seem on the attacks on U.S. holdings for the duration of his presidency.

Chavez is a socialist. Socialists empower themselves by lying to poor people and selling them on the idea that only socialism can make their lives better. That capitalism is evil. America is the most successful capitalist country on earth. We are and have always been the target of socialist vitriol. Socialism fails everytime it is tried. But still, the ignorant of the world can easily be seduced by it's empty promises.
