Star Wars become the symbol of "nerdness", if thats a word. i recently watched the original movies and liked them. so i decided to watch the new ones. im not a nerd that gave his life to it but the movies arent that bad really. there is a kid that i feel sorry for cuz its all he knows. he says he "only" has 6 Star Wars games & he talks about it as if it were real. but i want to know why it is made fun of so much.

The extent that some people obsessed over it, camping out weeks in advance of a screening, going to conventions, wearing costumes, learning all the trivia, collecting everything.
And it was mostly a teenage boy thing., few girls.

Most people have this natural tendancy to want to make fun of something. Nerdiness is usually considered when talking about high-tech stuff(including outer space) and sci-fi.(star wars). People think nerds are the ones that run the projectors, join the mathletes, work in the school store, and wear glasses and ties every day. They have to classify everything. Mainly, the people that think Star Wars is boring do that. And it's really annoying and really unfair to those who like it and are classified as "nerds." But more power to ya! I like star wars, I know I'm not a nerd, and to top it off, I'm a girl!
