It's hard to say as it depends on the relationship and a number of factors. Communication is the key to a successful marriage.
If the relationship is meant to last it will, but it does take work.

1 or 2 years tops.

On very rare occasions, relationships from an affair do last, and usually they are very good relationships. I know of ONE family that has its roots in an affair. I believe they are the exception rather than the norm.

"last" is a tricky term...what do you mean by that? I have seen some of the most terrible relationships that "last" a lifetime. Spouses that have become nothing more than roommates sticking it out till death do them part. But if you mean a happy and fullfilling relationship, that depends. Like many have said, one that will cheat with you is very prone to cheat on you too. Often these people are not familiar with how to deal with issues and seek out an escape with someone outside the marriage. This will have to be avoided in order to happily sustain a marriage. If you both are not 100% willing to do that, then I give you my condolences in advance.

Usually not very long and if it does last for any amount of time it will usually end in disaster down the road... Very few of these relationships actually end up successful and happy just to let you know. They are usually entered into for the wrong reasons and that is why they do not last. Sometimes we never learn and make the same mistakes again. I know that when i cheated on my first husband that my relationships out of cheating did not last at all.

Well I guess it all depends! If he was married then...well be careful! Also know that any many who cheated with you will cheat on you for someone else. So if you are okay with cheating then it may work out, but if not then you might want to guard your heart! If you can try not to have affairs. As women we need to be the bigger people and walk away from the men that are taken. You wouldn't want that and the other woman doesn't either!

there is no lasting point just as there is no starting point to an affair. an affair is not a relationship. so nobody cares when they end since they shouldnt have ever started. you lose a man the same way you get him.

purely time will tell. not all affairs finally end up the comparable way. some relationships that start up out good and nicely meaning do not finally end up too super the two. so as I view it makes no distinction how the relationship began. the substantial element is how they experience approximately one yet another and optimistically have made the appropriate possibilities. it rather is in no way uncomplicated whilst our thoughts replace, yet hey - it particularly is existence!

As long as both parties are still in it...
Maybe a week, a month, a year, a decade, a lifetime...
How long does ANY relationship last? Depends on what you're both willing to put IN to it.
