I had this dream last night which has left me worried/intrigued. It was in different fragments. One part was of my teeth falling out. It didn't, they were just falling out really easy and I was bleeding. I remember the blood flowing in a river kind of way. Can anyone give any information on what that could have meant?

I don't think it's about inner and out self-image, because I really don't have any issues or concerns with that.

Most dreams have personal psychological implications to them, if only because we periphially saw something that snuck into our minds just before we went to bed, and our brain needed to get them cleared out before we could wake up.

Teeth are a sign of self-image but also social image (think models who smile and show their teeth). People who are self-conscious about their appearance, and their teeth, do their best to camoflauge it.

That being said, teeth can also be a sign of difficulty (think of someone with an impacted tooth, or who needs a tooth pulled). Teeth falling out easily could mean that you expected a problem to be more difficult than it turned out to be, and the 'results' (the blood in your dream) just kinda flowed out and away. Or, it could be the difficulty was easier to overcome than you expected, but the results were more than you bargained for.

Teeth could also be a metaphor for talking/gossip. Teeth falling out could be that something 'slipped' out of your mouth accidentally, and that you are now dealing with the 'bleeding' that results, which may be stronger or gentler than expected, depening upon what a 'river' means to you.

Also, it could be that someone mentioned having teeth problems, or the last thing you saw/read/heard before bed had to do with the dentist, so that your mind cleaned out the stray thought by giving you your own dental problems (teeth falling out) but since it was only a minor irritant (falling out really easy) the hardest part is dealing with the after-thoughts, especially if you are a worrier or prone to worry (blood flowing in a river).

It could be any of the above, or even a combination of them. Good luck figuring it out.

This happened on one of the Soprano episodes. Tony Soprano dreamed he lost a tooth. Some think it was a sign that he was about to lose a friend which did happen in a later episode.
