I saw an advertisement for these: http://www.dba-oracle.com/art_handguns_fashions_ladies.htm

"What a fine gift a handgun makes for the lady of your life. The fashionable woman wants to accessorize, and it's always been difficult to match their wardrobe to a plain ladies handgun. Even the popular Derringer pocket pistols suffer from a drab appearance and women everywhere are demanding a gun that's both deadly and fashionable.

But the fashion world is about to change. The latest ladies firearms combine the absolute safety of a concealed lethal weapon with the fashion that today's modern women demand.

The latest in ladies handguns combine interchangeable grips that allow the fashionable young lady to accessorize her handgun to match her wardrobe. You can now replace the grips on fine ladies pistols to match their purse, shoes and scarf."

Sounds great, but do you think it's reliable?

Being a female and having discussed this with my boyfriend, cause I think all women should have a handgun, I would go with a small hand gun like a 22 something small, and easy to fire not much kick back yet effective.

Why would your lady need to match a gun to her fashion.
Buy law even in carry states your gun has to be concealed.
So unless she is going to carry it straped in plain site,or go back to the old west, whats the need if nobody is going to see her fancy gun.It would be best to buy one for its suited purpose and of good quality,go to a qaulified fire arms training and safety course, learn the proper handling and how to shoot. Its a tool for personal security not a fashion statement.

No, I do not think it is reliable if an Oracle IT consultancy writes about it.

S&W Centennial Airweight .38 special hands down.

It conceals quite well and shoots right nicely the mugger that is just an arm's length away from me.

I think you're kidding, but if you're serious, you should get her a low-caliber automatic that fits a small hand, and that has a manageable recoil. NOT that decorative crap. Something like a Sig P230, or a Beretta Bobcat depending on what she can handle.

I think she would prefer jewelry.

Diamonds are a girls' best friend, not weapons.

But if you must choose, a .22 is very classy.
