Could be a lot of things, but I would suspect something like a bad IAC module, MAP sensor or vacuum leak. Also, take the throttle body out and clean & lube it.

I don't know much about cars... but i've got a 95 Jimmy with a vortec that idles low... maybe if we could combine the two we'd be all set :)

One possibility is the gasket between the throttle body and the intake manifold has a leak. When these gaskets go bad it will lead to a fast idle.

Check to make sure you didn't knock loose any connectors on top of the engine.
