No. By cutting all those things out, Nintendo was able to sell the Wii at the low cost of 250 bucks.

I believe the Wii will play music CD's but definitely not DVDs.

It will play some AVI's though.

i found the "i'm Sam" soundtrack at a pawn shop for 4 greenbacks. i like the music in that action picture. The final action picture i offered became into "The African Queen". Gotta love the classics.

Nope, but some games can play MP3's stored on an SD card.
