I'm an African and my skin seems to be getting lighter, I've never really been dark, but now I want to be darker. I think that if my skin was a bit darker my blemishes would be less visible

You can tan to get darker, but I don't think it will conceal your blemishes. I would go to a Dermatologist or start getting facials on a regular basis by a good, licensed esthetician. Not only are facials a wonderful, amazing way to spoil yourself, they are great for your skin. Most states require estheticians to have several hundred hours of schooling before getting licensed and any good esthetician will recommend a great regiment to get rid of those blemishes. ENJOY!!!! :-)

I haven't seen or heard of any products to make black skin darker, but if you want to lighten those dark spots without lightening your natural skin tone, I recommend using Visbly Even by Neutrogena. I've been using it for a year, and it works fast and makes your complexion look really even without bleaching your skin out. I love it.

ok instead of makin' urself darker try getting some skin treatment because going to a tanning bed or the sun might make them worse!

if you want to get rid of blemishes, i wouldnt try to hide behind darker skin. try cover-up or bare-minerals foundation to even out your skin tone. if you really would like a darker complexion try jergens gentle glow lotion. it gets you darker without getting that orange look.

Whatever you use.. just remember that people with dark complexions can suffer from dry skin syndrome. So if you do tan, remember to protect yourself!
