300 was not based that much on facts. It was a bit of fiction there as well. Actually alot of fiction.
Many soldiers in ancient Greece were gay, actually openly gay. You just dont know about the rest of other armies cos not many civilisations would accept homosexuality especially back then. Also it was a strategic tactic to have a gay couple fighting since they would fight harder in order to protect each other. But anyway, dont base anything on the 300 movie...just read actual history books. Ancient Greece was not homosexual, it just allowed homosexuals to express themselves and respected them. For instance, if you showed our current civilisation to medieval England they would call it gay "America" or gay "Britain" since so may people are out.

A movie twisted the truth?!?! Shock!! Gasp!!
The same fuss happened with the Alex the Great movie, some wanted him straighter, others wanted him gayer, and not enough Pitt to go around.

Geez, learn something. Ancient Greek civiliation held men in much higher respects than women. To have a homosexual relationshipe (MINUS THE SEX) was considered to be on a higher level.

Hollywood changes the lifestyles to fit their agenda. If you are referring to "300" from what I have seen, it is a very biased and "hollywoodized" movie. While it is based on fact, it is not entirely real.
