Periods can be late for a number of reasons. Stress is usually a big cause for mine being late. If you're stressing out over the pregnancy test, it could just make your period later. Relax, whatever happens, happens. Just chill out and try to enjoy your life. I know it's easier said than done, but do your best. If it's still late after a week, go to the doctor. They can do a blood pregnancy test and find out for sure. (Urine tests never work for me.)

Hi there. You just need to give it sometime. It took me 3 weeks for my test to turn up positive. I took ( i kid you not) about 10 tests all together. 7 was all negative, then finally about the eighth i took was faintly positive, as well was the next one. So I went out and bought the most expensive one I could find and it came out PREGNANT. I just wanted to be very sure. My husbands been bugging for a little girl since he got back from Iraq last June and well im 36 weeks pregnant and a girl is what hes getting. Very lucky b/c he wanted to keep trying till he got a girl. Thank goodness she is whats coming. So anyway, just give it some time. Sometimes it takes longer than you think. Best of Luck to you! :-)

If 2 pregnancyy tests both read negative then you're most likely not pregnant. My period is a few days to a week late on occasion as well... that's normal sometimes.

DON"T GIVE UP!! i missed my period in jan. i took i swear to you, at least 10 home pg test....all negative. but i had all pg symptoms, so i finally went and had the doctor draw blood and test me that way. STILL NEGATIVE. disappointed i went home, but figured hey half the fun is in trying. well that blood test was feb.5th this year. feb. 23rd i still had not started, so figured i would take another home pg test.... it came up positive....but i another that night and another one the next morning before i went to the doctor. she told me yah u are pregnant. and when i questioned her about the blood test i took on the 5th of feb., she said that i had a little HCG in my blood(pg hormone) but not enough to make them think i was pregnant. HELLO!?!? you only get that hormone one time, and u have to be pregnant to produce it. so when i went in the 2nd time, i figured i was 4 weeks at most. nope!! i got preg. around jan 4th and i am in my 11th week. so keep doing pg tests until u get a positive or u start your period. cause blood tests for me just didnt work, either that the doctor needs to go back to medical school!!!!!!!!

Wait until you are at least two weeks late to take a test. Hope all works out for you.

that does not mean anything. periods are abnormal no matter what. my daughter is 1 years old and every month my period is late. but it is because of my birth control. just dont be alaarmed give it a few more days to a week.

You need to wait about a week after a missed period to get an accurate result.

I took 4 different ones when I was pregnant with my 2nd. Who knows. Us women are a mystery!
