And she can't watch a movie half way into it. She has to see it from the beginning. OK, many of you will agree with that but the CSI thing bugs me.

get naked and stand in front of the tv and tell her you have some evidence that needs to be researched.
snuggle up and just watch the show with her or have her record it for times she is alone.

My best friend's mom is like that. She can usually be found on the couch, idly sorting through ANOTHER pile of laundry and watching either CSI, The Pretender, Buffy, or any other random rerun. She's pretty embarrassing, but she's a sweetheart.
