I know, i'm 17. Its pretty late in order to making a choice to have an acting career. But i feel i can pull it off, if i dedicate myself. I have no previous acting experience, so it probably would be a bit difficult. I'm leaving high school next year.

The steps you need to take are first: Get involved in community plays
Church plays
School drama programs
Attend Acting College, (UCLA,NYC, or UofM)
The best thing to do is have experience, try to attend a summer program @ New York Film Academy, or Orlando Studios to gain the experience.
You are required to remember at least a two minute monologue for auditions.

Join a theatre group and take classes in acting. This summer, try going to a residential acting camp to improve your skills. Union College in NY has a good one, so do NYFA and NYU. Also, try to get involved in high school plays and/or drama club. Then when you feel that you have improved as an actor, try out for as many TV spots, commercials, and shows you can find- do anything to get noticed by the right people. Good luck! Hope you make it!

First learn to be a waiter or a pizza delivery guy. That way, you will have income while you tell everyone you are an actor.
