Yes, definately. It will help if you go to a place like Sephora to get the makeup. Yes, it is not cheap but the stylists that work there are wonderful and helpful and they will pick out the right shades for you. To apply your makeup:

1. Prepare your skin first by cleansing it. I reccomend Neutrogena or St. Ives facial cleansers.

2. If you must, apply foundation all over your face. I would probably just use concealer for now, foundation can create a "caked" on look.

3. Next, apply a lip gloss or a light lipstick to your bottom lip and smudge it together.

4. Using the eyeshadow you have from Sephora (I'm not sure what color eyes you have so I can't suggest anything) apply it lightly to only the lid (and the crease, once you get better) of your eyelid.

5. Then apply mascara to the tips of your eyelashes. I recommend CoverGirl Lash Exact Mascara.

6. Use eyeliner only if you really need it. Just remember to only put it around your eye, not in the lid! It could make you look like a zombie.

Good Luck!

I think 11 year olds are old enough. However, there is an appropriate ammount of make-up. If you want eyeliner, keep it as light as possible. Dark liner will make you look too old. The color of mascara can depend on your natural hair color. If you have dark hair, black mascara is fine. If your hair is very light, go for a brown mascara for now. Lighter and fun colored eye shadows are better. Pale pinks, purples, and blues are all 11-year old friendly. Stick with lip gloss or a light color lipstick with some light blush.
Stay away from bronzers. If you want to freshen your skin up, use a little concealer under your eyes and on a little blemish here or there. (Don't coat your entire face)

Maybe just lip gloss...not too much other stuff. have you tried just a little bronzer on your cheeks and as a light eyeshadow. Sweetie...don't grow up too fast! I'll bet you are beautiful without a bunch of stuff on your face. You could also wear some pale pink nail polish and on your toes, too. Avon has some cologne called"Sweet Honesty" that would be perfect for a young lady like you. Before we get all carried away with this, what does your Mom say? You DO know that this will freak out your Dad?

Lipgloss. That's it. When I was eleven the only time mascara was used was for cheer competitions. I didn't even wear lipgloss to school. I wore it every once in a while, but rarely. If skin problems are involved like acne and that's why you are asking, try treating skin first at such a young age and then adding makeup in a couple of years. But that doesn't mean stop treating skin when you wear makeup. It's even more important to treat skin then because your pores may get clogged.

I think its about the right age, but not a lot of make-up! I started wearing make-up when I was 11 or 12...but I only wore blush, and a little lip gloss, nothing major. If you want to wear a lot have your mom or older sister do it, I'm sure they're experience!

Show off your youthful skin while you can =D

It depends how mature the girl is. But I think it should be lip glosses, mascara and if shadow, a very nutral tone (maybe some powder). I think when girls start getting to that age, Mom's or someone should help them, and teach them how to do it naturally and nice, so theylook pretty and not like a clown...I think it would be best to go through mags and find what the girl likes and what the mom likes and if necessary, go to the mall and see a makeup consultant. In most cases your not going to avoid it so you can at least make sure they do it right.

To be totally honest, no I don't. 11 is a little too young. Wait until you're 12, and start off with brown mascara, blush, concealer, powder, and lip gloss. Stop there - as you get older, you can add more without looking like a tart.

However, I completely condone experimenting with makeup at home. Buy the above stuff and a bunch of wild colors, and have fun with your friends creating all kinds of looks. It's great practice and teaches you a lot about color and your bone structure as well as the basics of makeup application.

Ahh no, maybe in about two to three 3 years from that age. Its just going to attract older attention. Lip gloss and nail polish should be good enough at that age. If they start wearing full blown make-up (blush, eye shadow, etc.) at that age than next thing its going to be the suggestive clothing.

Some makeup on occasion, but not much. Maybe a little lip gloss or pale lipstick and some soft blush. At that age you are still pure and beautiful and shouldn't have to hide behind makeup. Trust me it becomes a chore at times. Don't rush into it, it becomes a social requirement, so to speak, soon enough.

NO NOT AT ALL! im a high school student..and its ok to wear makeup...these freshmens(im an upperclass man) think they are grown and run the streets and wear all types of makeup.. and they are suppose to be highschoolers.. wearing makeup attracts boys..and i highly doubt she is ready for the attention.. best to keep her at her age level..when she gets there she is going to wish she was 11 again.. being a teenager is hardwork..stay young as long as you can!
