Simple answer, no. If the company has a policy stating that you get a certain amount of time for vacation every year, they may not legally take it away from you. You must either be given the time off, get the pay instead of time off, or roll the time over to the next year.

But some company policies say that the time is either used or lost, which is then your loss if you choose not to take it. They can also use vacation time if you are late to work, take part days off, or run out of sick time. Find out why you are not getting your vacation time from your payroll or HR department, and if you feel it does not fall into the above categories, you may need to contact your state's labor department if you can't get the company to cooperate.

No you should be able to have vacation time and sick time every year. But if you have taken time off throughout the year they may count that. I don't think your job can do that. You should check that out with the company.

sick time - go to work first, clean up what you need to, then go home early
