I don't know any gay men who act like women. Some act a bit flamboyant - but I've never seen a woman act like even the most flamboyant man. The way that effeminate men and feminine women behave are nothing alike, and they are unique behaviors to their respective genders. There is no male/female roles in same gender partners. Both are male or both are females. I've heard your question asked before, several times throughout my life, and I just don't understand it. There are no male/female roles or behaviors in a male/male union, and no matter what they do or how they behave, it will still be a male thing. Personally, I'd like to know why heterosexual women are so addicted to wearing men's pants, yet have the gaul to be offended by a man in a dress. Wearing men's clothes is about the most unwomanly thing a woman can do. Gay men who wear women's clothes are probably about 1% of 1% of the gay community, yet straight women IN ABUNDANCE dress in male drag as though it were nothing. Even though I am gay and have no interest in females beyond friendship, whenever I see a woman in a dress I make it a habit to go out of my way to tell them, "I don't mean to be forward, but I just wanted to tell you that it is very refreshing to see a lady dressed like a lady."

Both I and my boyfriend are neither "Butch" nor "Feminine."
It is similar to heterosexual couples where the woman is more masculine than most women(enjoys outdoors, working with vehicles and building) and men who are generally referred to as "cultured."
The homosexual scene is no different. Some men like masculine or feminine, it is purely chance on whether 2 masculine, 2 feminine, or opposite are together.
As for the "acting like the opposite sex," there are some flamboyant homosexuals, but it is in no ways the majority, just the stereotype.
Transgendered people(those that dress/ get surgery to appear to be the opposite sex) are different. They generally have the mindset where they feel they should have been born the opposite sex, and therefore try to become that way. Transgendered and Homosexual is different, though generally transgendered people are homosexual.

Because their not the opposite sex.
Just because they like some traits of the opposite sex doesn't mean they are into the opposite sex. There's quite a bit of difference between a man and a tomboy. A tomboy might act like a man at times, but she's still a woman.
Doesn't that example kinda go against what you're saying? Hooking up with a feminine looking woman? That's a lot of womanhood right there.

Alot of the time the people arent trying to act like the opposite sex. Their style just gives you that impression. They are only being themselves. What makes a man fem, or a woman manly?? I think that is the question that needs to be answered before yours.

That's like saying all het guys who wear suits are only attracted to het women who wear dresses. It depends on the people. I've seen fem women with fem women. I've seen butchy women with butchy women. I've seen women who dress a bit of both fem and butch in one woman with all of the above. Finally, there's the classic butchy woman with a fem. I don't know the gay male community as well, but they all dress differently and act differently, too, since they are individuals as well...I assume not all heterosexuals are attracted to the same types of men/women as well...

Look, to all you people that say they ":strayed from god", you are idiots. There is no god first of all, and second, they choose to live like that. It is disgusting, and should not be tolerated. I dont get why people think it is "cool" to be gay now. It is not. In fact, it is horrible.

the question is not why, it is how? How do gays enjoy this brown vibe without fully knowing the conseqences of a pontential 'bad brown' experaince. I have been to edge of bad browndom, and it was a pleseant stay had by all concerned, but the stains are incredible.
