My character is one of those shallow people who is always obsessed with what's in and trying to follow the latest trend. I need some help thinking up couple of different trends or fads for my character to go through, eg. Hippy etc. and I need costume ideas and the way she would talk etc.
Any help or ideas would be great!

Get either the movie Clueless or Legally Blonde. Both good ways to create a character.

Be sure that your business (bits of things that you do while you talk) do not overshadow the lines or the character's reason for being on stage. Don't let the business BECOME the character.

Bits:
Constantly checking your nails color against the clothing she has on (shirt, skirt, shoes)

Playing wiht her hair, trying different styles

Button and unbotton one button on her/his shirt and rearranging the way the collar lays...looking for the right "Look"

How about those shoes called crocs, one of those cute really short skirts and a polo shirt (preppy I guess). Or do the hippy/grunge look with baggy jeans, a chain, little tee and some vans or some birkenstocks. You can also dress her like the character in legally blond and talk like her. Hope these help.

Show her with tons of magazines and shopping bags at hand.

Voice- your average fashion freak, gUrliegUrl voice

Habits- staring at her reflection in everything shiny

fluffing up her hair with brush

messing with a skirt

twirling hair with her finger

Outfit- tight shirts, miniskirts, lots of make up, high heels, oversized sunglasses, wavy hair with hmm..a few barrettes?

Sounds like Ashley Tisdale should play this part! LOL good luck! luv Zœy
