I think a group of 12 yr olds are gathered
around their tv each week voting for Sangaya just to mess with us.

Oh no, I think the public has chosen very well over the years. Of course there will always be surprises and heart break but the is the game. When you think how many people have launch successful careers from this show it is a good thing. I know you feel bad when your favourites get the boot, but usually the end result is pretty fair. I mean kids who don't even come in first still do well. Look at Jennifer Hudson. Just remember to vote for your favourite, several times. I voted for my favourite over 100 times per night. Just to let you know I am not a teenager and my elderly mom voted just as many times for her favourite. This is a great show to help young people get a good start in a difficult business. Years ago they had many shows to help launch careers in music. American Bandstand, got all the big names going, Prince, Michel Jackson, you name it. Same as the Ed Sullivan show, he brought the Beatles to America. So, I believe this show is very useful. Many of these kids do play musical instruments, by the way, they just don't get the chance to show you.

You know, American Idol is about who the people like. I agree with you, but others obviously don't. I think that American Idol is going to end soon. With so many years of doing the same exact thing, it can't have the same impact it once did.

I think American Idol is ruining American Idol, as well as modern music. What ever happened to people who learned to play an instrument and wrote their own songs. I think its a dying art.

yes, they vote for the looks of the contestant, not the voice the show is too shallow i stopped watching it long time ago

american idol sucks now cuz of the ppl who hate the show. they vote for the suckish ppls!!!! there r judges, y dont they use them and just make them chose who goes and stays?!?!
