It would not benefit Quebec or Canada if that happened

I live in Quebec, it would not benefit anyone if that happened. We have many natural resources, and use many natural resources from the rest of Canada. Once Quebecois understand just what we stand to loose they will know better. There is no way Quebec could stand afloat on it's own, and by the time it might be able to it would be to late. I don't care what the politicians say, there in no way in h**l that Canada would just let Quebec go and Keep using all things Canadian and Quebec could not afford to purchase all things Federal. They are squawking now about the lack of money, it would not get better if they separate. Besides just how long would it take before the States tried to claim Quebec as their newest State. The States are dying for everything we and the rest of Canada have, all of our natural resources.

It will never happen, it would be suicide.

Wow - let's try that question again.
"Could the independence of Quebec ever become a reality?"
Let us hope not - Canada includes all kinds of cultures, they are all distinct in some way. Separation is not the answer.
