ok i know how to do an infurosia culture,you get lettuce and boil it for 15 minutes then let it sit out in the sun for around 2-3 days but what i dont get is the part where you leave it in the sun.what happens if i leave it in the sun then the sun goes away so that means that i still leave it there right????

Just let it get all the sunlight it can. Infusoria needs the light. I wouldn't include live plants in your culture, they don't encourage algae, they DIScourage algae. Boiling the lettuce isn't really required either, you can just crush it well. Also, if you start with tank water it will culture all the faster.

Right. Infusoria thrives on the algae the sun encourages in water. It also lives in plants (or among them) so having live plants will help your culture increase in number and the sun helps the plants live.

Just because it is cloudy doesn't mean it isn't getting the light it needs to grow. That would be like saying you cannot get a sunburn on a cloudy day at the beach. The rays needed for plants still come thu the clouds. Don't worry, it will grow cloudy or not.
