I don't think so, but you should talk to someone in social services or children's services. Look it up on the net & get some sound advice.

You are that child's mother, and unless your own mother can have your proven unfit before the child is born there is little she can day about your decisions.
That being said she has no responsibility for that baby and is not legally bound to provide anything for the baby.
If your decision is to keep the baby then be very clear about why you are making that decision and the implications of that decision. Then seek out a teen-parent program in your area for assistance on the right path. Being a teen parent does not "ruin your life" but it complicates it more than I think you probably understand.

I assume you don't have money for a lawyer so I have 2 suggestions. 1. See if there is a Legal Service / Legal Aid in your area and call for an appointment. 2. There must be a Planned Parenthood somewhere near you. Both of these places will answer your questions before you make a final decision. Good luck to you. You have a tremendous decision to make.

No, but, let’s say for example, that you choose to keep the baby...she can make it awfully darn hard for you. She’s not required to provide anything for this child. She’s not required to watch the child while you attend school and/or work. She’s not required to take the child to the doctor or provide you with a car to do that. And so on and so forth.
By the way, you do realize the age of sexual consent in CA is 18, right? It was illegal for you even have sex (unless you’re married, but I assume you’re not, or else you wouldn't be asking this question).
In response to one of the previous answers--pregnancy/giving birth does NOT emancipate a minor in any state. A minor parent has the right to make decisions regarding their child, but that is the extent of their 'emancipation'. In every other aspect, you are still subject to the control and supervision of your parents.

It varies from state to state, so I would recommend you look up in the phone book and call the local child welfare organization or adoption agency for help. At 16 you are not legally an adult.

Your parents are responsible for you until your 18th birthday. Your mother can, and should, make this decision. You could contact an attorney, but I don't think you will get anywhere with it.

There's no one answer to this.
I would say do what you want to do, you are the one who has to live with the result. She will for the 1st 2 years (if you want the baby), but it's your problem after that. If you want an abortion, go get one.

What is it with kids today ... You *have no* legal rights until you turn 18. Though of course it didn't prevent you from doing something stupid.
I agree with your mother on this.

Yes, I was 15 when I made that dicision. At this point you are the only one to make it, and dont let anyone intimidate you in to anything that you don't want to do.
