Peppers is probably the most physically gifted end in the game today, he has outstanding speed and strength for a man of his size. He isn't as consistent week in and week out as you would like, plus last year he did not seem as disruptive as in other years.
Last year there is no question in my mind that Jason Taylor was the best defensive end in the league. There was only 4 games where he did not record at least one sack and had 9 forced fumbles. (Stats)
If I was building a football team for the next five years, I would want Peppers as my Defensive end, but he was not the best end in football for the last season.

I think it's Jason Taylor because he is a huge playmaker and is a good combo with Zach Thomas in the front 7. The Miami defense would be terrible without him and wouldn't get much pressure at all. You see that interception he had on Grossman this year? Of course picking off Grossman isn't that hard but it was impressive!
My top 5 DE's:
1. Jason Taylor, MIA
2. Aaron Schoebel, BUF
3. Julius Peppers, CAR
4. Alex Brown, CHI
5. Aaron Kampman, GB

Without question ! Peppers could be a Pro Bowl LB if they put him at that position. He is SICK ! I've been watching footbal for over 20 years.. And I have *NEVER* seen a player like him since Lawrence Taylor. And I think Peppers it alot more athletic then Taylor ever was. If Peppers doesn't go to the Pro Bowl 5-6 more times in his career, I'll be STUNNED. And it would only be due to injuries. I sure wish he played for my Bears

I'm a Giants fan, living in TEXAS, originally from Greensboro, NC. I think that is the only kind of end, the TARHEELS, produce, I.E., Ellis and, Ekuban.
