Im a clutz and when i was in my bedroom, I lost my balance and fell and hit my wrist very hard on a dvd player that was on my floor. I did that last night. Now its a little swollen and the bones feel weird and it REALLY HURTS!!! Theres also bruising on the front and back of my wrist!!! Does this mean its broke? It really hurts to type this! If it is broken, does this mean I will have to wear a cast?

The same thing happened to me when I went skiing. I lost control and flipped and my wrist slammed onto a rock. My wrist was swollen, it hurt excessively and I did not do anything for about 3 weeks. Even so, I didnt have to wear a cast, I just had to wear a brace for about a month. You dont have to wear it all the time, you cant or else it wont heal properly. The problem with my wrist was a hairline fracture, and it was spranged as well. If you do not go to the doctor, your wrist will not work properly, it may end up being crooked, and it may even be unusable. You need to see a health professional or doctor. Also, it's good to soak it in cold water or ice it, then proceed to putting it in luke warm water. Trust me, it will end up feeling a whole lot better.

Did you hear it break? Can you move your fingers on that hand? You may have a hairline fracture of your wrist or tore some ligaments or something. Can't tell unless you get a x-ray. If it's broke you gotta wear a cast. Don't feel bad, my best friends mom broke BOTH her wrists slipping on ice, that would REALLY suck! Hopefully you just bruised something.

This sounds stupid but I whacked a pudding cup..yes a "pudding cup" and i got some x-rays and they didnt see like a broken bone but they wanted me to have a brace..The Best Thing You Can Do Is Go o The Hospital And Get An X-ray.

It could be a hairline fracture. You should have it xrayed...don't wait too long because if it is broken and needs to be set the bone may not grow back together properly.

You need to go get xrays done it sounds like soft tissue damage they will probably put you into a brace.
