I was looking at this story the other day... I thought it was interesting... while I still hear of pork every now and then... if it's WAY down overall... I think that's a move in the right direction...

It amazes me that $13.2 is in Defense and Homeland security alone, I suppose the government would be bigger if we started a Pork Only Department.

Americans are more aware, thanks to angry e-mails and c-span.

The Dems invented pork, it's only over the last 6 years that Republicans started creating so much of it, so if you give the Dems long enough time back in power in Congress & they'll start porking again. Right now all they want to do is show the voters that they are cutting pork because it's such a hot issue. That will change over time.

The only way the dummycrats are saving anything is by accident. All the energy wasted in their tirades over Bush's leadership could go a long way in doing some good. While Nancy Pelosi does her hidden campaigning for 2008 and Hillary stomps around the country trying to avoid Obama kicking her down in the points other liberals are hiding in corners wondering what Pelosi will do next to weaken this country.

They've only just been in office a short while. The big spending bills have yet to come up.

Put some glasses on. Clinton didn't cut a single program other than the military.

According to the polls, they're doing no better than the Republican dominated Congress of the past two years.

They are doing better, but the GOP are still acting like they are in control or something--and are opposing everything the Democrats have been proposing.

Oh, yes they are doing great. Raising taxes, increasing regulations, undermining our troops in harms way. And developing their own battle plan, so they can micro-manage battles from Washington. Passing pointless resolutions and grandstanding. They are wonderful.

yeah, what happened to minimum wage legislation? the democrats canned it last summer and no sign of it yet in congress. I don't think the democrats are doing anything!

Passing a non binding resolution definately shows they have no backbone.

Either you believe in something or you don't.
