we are the way we are born....we don't make any choice. "lifestyle" is a word homophobes use to imply we choose to be gay...and imply that we aren't normal. like, with people like them still around, we'd actually choose?
I chose to be a lesbian just like I chose to have blue eyes or be tall or turn gray prematurely....

The "Gay Lifestyle" is just a way to stereotype. There are all kinds of people with all kinds of lifestyles. There are masculine, feminine, extrovert, introvert, and everything in between. Grouping certain people into a lifestyle is just a way to create "issues" and instill a feeling of difference which in turn breeds hate.

Probably varies. I was in show business and at least 30% of that is gay. Some are like you, common ordinary. Others are not.
Go watch the movie Boys in the Band.
I have walked into studios to bring in our equipment late and night only to see a circle jerk going on.
Does that give you an idea.
It's akin to the black lifestyle. Like in the movie 48 Hours the Vroman's scene.
Harlem.
That theater in Harlem, forget it's name now. The famous one.
Gays have their clubs too. Go see the movie Birds of a Feather or La Cage Aux Follies, both versions.
These places exist. The Queen Mary on Ventura Blvd in Los Angeles
The Bath House scene in San Francisco where What's her face used to sing. I've seen video footage of it. Bette Mideler or the other one.

I don't wanna piss anyone off, but having lived on both sides of the fence, I think I can answer this one. "The gay lifestyle" is a phrase coined by a straight person to connotate "hedonism" or a VERY active sex life with multiple partners. I know the latter of those is true having been "in it". for a few years. Gay guys don't live their sex lives like straight guys do. Guys ALWAYS say yes to sex so guy on guy action is ALWAYS happening. Straight guys have a harder time gettin laid dude! Trust me! Straight guys masturbate WAY more too! LOL

Its just a stereotype and a wrong definiton. Its homosexuality.
Can someone tell me what straight lifestyle is? I guess watching football, eating pizza and drinking beer while burping and farting...mmm....doesnt sound right though; and why? cos its not the case.
I am gay, I study business with IT, I hate madona and all these female divas, I love rock, dont really do gay bars/clubs, I love cars, technology, arts, movies, fish keeping, cooking etc etc.
I am sure there are millions of gays and straights who share my interests...this is my lifestyle regardless of whom I sleep with. People are just lazy to call it orientation and they just call it lifestyle...

I really hate when people refer to homosexuality as a lifestyle. It's not a lifestyle it's form of sexuality! You choose your lifestyle but your sexuality you do not choose. It's just another way for people to say that homosexuality is a choice!

I think that it just means homosexual versus heterosexual.
Since heterosexual is the majority it would be the norm. I don't really believe that it means that gay people have some outlandish lifestyle. It's just a term other than abnormal...it sounds better.

When people use "gay lifestyle" in an effort to express an opinion, I immediately dismiss them as no one and nothing.

Many homosexuals seem to let their homosexuality define who they are. Maybe that's what it means. They are often gay first and foremost. Not a human who just happens to be gay.
