If you have ever been in Matsuyama, I would love to hear about your experiences there and also your honest impressions of the city. Thank you.

Its a nice city, though very rural. I would argue that Shikoku is probably the most rural of all the four main Japanese islands. I lived in Oita (Kyushu) for two years, and remember thinking that Oita was urban compared to Shikoku! That said, you will find that its a fairly conservative and traditional part of Japan. I think you'll enjoy it if you have an open mind -- you'll experience things there that you would never experience in Osaka or Tokyo (two cities that I have also lived in). Cities are much more convenient, but the Japanese countryside is beautiful -- get a scooter or hop on a bus or local train and go exploring.

its a country side, really peaceful and nice place. you might not like it if you are into tokyo city or like anime.
they are famous for apples, like fuji apples you eat came from there.

wich matuyama?? matsuyama as a place in ehime? or matuyama in saitama. there are alot of matsuyama
one in saitama is just a mountain place.

also matsuyama means pine tree mountain, just to let you know something
