Can you give me a name of anyone that wasn’t popular, but fought for black freedom?

The whole point is to write about someone not as popular as Malcolm X or Martin Luther King etc …

(the person doesn’t have to have lived or fought in the USA)

i dont know who to choose.. i need some1 that i can research and write an essay on...And who’s life experience will allow me to expand on the essay with my own thoughts ...

he didnt fight for black freedom but he was the first spark that initiated blacks to fight for freedom.
