Could be implantation bleeding. If you are late take a test that is the only way to know. I feel like I should have this statement under copy and paste. Sorry not trying to be rude just the noting a fact. Good luck to you though.

Sounds to me that you are still in the early stages of mensturation... no worries about your personal health although if you are sexually active, it is possible to have breakthrough bleeding but it's not usually brown. My periods were brown when I first started my period. It was brown for the first 5 months but it was caused by a slow flow and the oxygen made it the color it was...icky brown. Honestly, no worries... You are healthy Hun. If you are truly worried, visit your local Health Unit. They are very descret in these matters especially if you are not comfortable talking to your Mom about it. If you are in Canada as I am, you know it's free but they will take you at a clinic anywhere and still be aware that you are concerned and will not charge you. Call first and find a place that has a good reputation or better yet, talk to your Gym teacher or guidance councellar at school. I promise they will not tell your parents.

I know that I am right about you just starting your period and I hoped that I helped. You are quite healthy.

I had that the month before I found out I was pregnant. When the egg implants itself on the uterin wall, it can cause a little bleeding. Don't want to freak you out though...

Implantation bleeding is scanty and usually pink or brownish discharge. That's what you described I would suggest making an appointment with your OB/GYN and continue to pay close attention to your body.

It could be the egg planting on the wall or just spotting while pregnate, it is normal though.
