Ok, I have a little acne, and some post acne marks on my forhead. I don't even know why they are there in the first place, I don't pop my pimples. Anyway, my skin is dried out easily and I want something to cover the post acne marks and acne but no caked on stuff. I'm open to concealer too. And my skin is a little uneven too. I'm open to any brand.

I just don't know if tinted mosturizer will work for me. Like, if I use tinted mosturizer and concealer will it cover up the marks? Or should I go with foundation? Thank you!!

I recently got into Mark cosmetics and they have a great line to help with this. Check it out or email me with questions.

If you have a little acne, and want to cover it up, then a tinted moisturiser might not be for you. You might want to go for a light foundation, like Prescriptives'.

However, if you want to give your skin a chance to heal, and don't mind the marks showing a little, maybe a tinted moisturiser is the way to go. Personally the best ones I've used were
1. Neutrogena Healthy Defense (you can get the tinted one) it comes with SPF
2. Neutrogena Healthy Skin enhancer
3. Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturiser.

The neutrogena ones were very fresh and light, but the colours never really suited me. Yeah, it's tinted and it's light, but it still irked me a little

Laura mercier one is really nice, but it's expensive. It doesn't feel like there's anything there at all, but it covers very well.

Re: your acne, I have little breakouts and had some small scars and use Proactiv now - no breakouts and it makes the scars go away. It didn't dry my skin, either! I recomend it.
I don't think tinted moisture will work. Here's what I did for years: mix your foundation with some moisturizer (w/ sunscreen in it! I use oil of olay's kind). Let it dry, then with your finger dab some foundation on the spots you want more coverage and blend the edges.
I use Bare Escentuals mineral powder foundation now - can't mix it with moisturiser but I absolutely love its natural coverage.
Good luck!

Tinted moisturizer is good for those with clear skin. I suggest you try an oil free foundation. Clinique has some good ones. YOu can go to the counter in the mall and ask what would work best and ask for samples and try for a couple days at home.

I just went through the same type of problem. I use tinted moisturizer, and it barely covered up the zit. Use Bobbi Brown's tinted moisturizer to make the zit smoother to apply Bobbi Brown's concealer: it's a small box w/ 3 parts. Apply each part to the area (but only a little!), and then the zit will be close to invisible!!

foundation is heavyier than than the tinted stuff. all the moisterizer does is add color to your face, not hide your flaws. I have som acne to and i wear light foundation on good facila days and a heavier one on a bad facial acne day. if you go with the foundation, use a moisturizing sunscreen and wait at least 60 seconds for it to dry until applying foundation. you can try both if you want. the tinted one is good for the summer cuz its light and has a sunscreen
