It depends on what lifestyle you have- are you home a lot and do you have a lot of time or space to care for an animal? My husband thinks the best pet is our hermit crab, since it requires virtually no effort. However, I find the loving nature of my two cats to be wonderful after a stressful day.

How much land do you have? Are you gone all day? Do you have money to take the pet to the vet if needed? That is a very generic question....please give this much thought,so many pets suffer when they have the wrong owners.

it realy depends on where you live and you sence of style
I think a dog is the best companion a child a woman or a Man can ever have
they are loyal and they love people
Horse
I like horses because they are big and pretty and you can ride them and they are just so beautyful
the cat would be the last on my list
I mean some cats are okay but they are mostly lazy and they well they are just not my type but i like my dads cat tigar he is the only cat that I know that likes people

It all depends on your lifestyle and preference. I love cats, and mine act like dogs. Some people says dogs are best. Others will say fish because they are the lowest maintenance (although the huge tanks require a lot of work, esp salt water) Then there are reptiles, birds and rodents to consider. It's really how and where you live, and what you like best.

My very best friend is the bear! Not really! I have little Chihuahuas. They are my best buddies and girls. I have 27 of them. If you feed them right, give the water, and love them, you have a friend for life. Easy to train, tame, and alarm when someone is close by thy DON'T like. I have three that sleep with me, and they all know their spots. They don't fight, bite, and are low maintenance. To feed a Chi? Hardly anything. I carry my little one to the mall, and he attracts all kinds of attention. He is only 1/2 lb and loves everyone.

It depends on whether you like big dogs or small dogs!
I suggest you buy a Collie, they are soo loyal and can protect its master, if you want a small dog, you can buy a Shetland Sheepdog!
