I'm curious -- how many people are livng paycheck to paycheck? Just barely having enough money to pay the bills and not really living quite as comfortably as they would like?

I am a single mom with 2 kids I work my butt off to scrape by, but we are happy and healthy, I can't ask for more than that.

You're married and making over $2000 a month, but what about him? Are you supporting the family by yourself? Anyway, when you say your bills are $875 per month are you including groceries, gas, incidentals, clothing, doctor bills, medicine, gifts??? If not, they really add up especially when you have kids. But you can still save. Write down everything you spend for one month. Account for everything and then see where you can cut back. Next, every payday put money into a savings account. Do you best not to touch it. If you get a raise or a bonus or a windfall, put part of it into savings. Budget your groceries. Make a list and stick to it. Clip coupons, but don't buy things you wouldn't have just because you have a coupon. Restaurant meals and carry out cost a small fortune. Cook at home. Those little things can really add up. Wish I could live paycheck to paycheck! I haven't had any money since January 15th of 07! This is definitely not comfortable. (I'm not joking. Family is bringing meals, and driving us where we need to go.)

I have enough money, but I keep buying lots of stupid things with it, and then struggling before the next paycheck. It's my own fault.

i wish i made enough on each paycheck to consider it living paycheck to paycheck its more like slaving away eternal debt to visa. and i don't buy stuff i don't need. that's just gas and food and rent.

boy is that ever the truth i am a nervous wreck all the time worrying what will happen next it ages you to the point life passes you buy and all u do is worry and get sick

we dont live paycheck to paycheck cuz if we missed two or three checks then we are in trouble, idk does that count?
