I drive a 2005 Dodge Caravan and lately I've been hearing a noise while I'm driving. It almost seems to be the actual noise from the tire as it turns. The sounds a little metalic. I can also feel my foot hit something if I apply too much pressure when i brake. What could these things be?

The noise I hear happens while I'm driving not when i slow down and not when I brake. But I do feel like I hit something on the bottom sometimes when I brake too hard, although there is no noise when I feel this.

Do you hear the noise only when braking?

If so, see the other answers.
If not, your wheel bearings may need replacing.

i own a repair shop ,and its possible it could be brake pads worn all the way down on it,causing this to happen,it seems kind of odd though and it being that new, but its possible you need to take this in and get it checked, and if it is the pads worn down on it you,ll have to get them repaired as soon as possible,or you run the risk of possibly loosing all the brakes you have on it,at least get them checked ,so you,ll know, any time you feel a difference in the brakes get them checked, don't drive around and take a chance on doing more damage to it or loosing what brakes you have on it now,it may not have ever happened to you,but its a very scary feeling when the pedal goes to the floor, and the vehicle speeds up instead of slowing down,i been there and i know the feeling,,you either hit something or you ditch it,either way its no fun at all, good luck i hope this helps.

first check the front brake pads, sounds like all pads are gone and you are on the metal plate that holds the pads. When you are applying the brake pedal it will fill as if you are hitting something because its metal to metal, meaning metal plate to your rotor. Remove front tire on the side of the noise and see if the big smooth metal disk is still smooth on front and back, this is your rotor, ill bet it ain't.

Your brakes are going out and you are literally hitting the "metal to the pedal." Time for a brake job.

If you plan to have someone else do it, get back to me and I can give you some GOOD tips.

It sounds like you have wore out your brake pad. You should take it in to have your brakes checked. By your name I assume you have kids in the car, better safe than sorry take it in please.
