Also why do deers only come out of the woods at early morning and late evening to eat grass... and then only the younger ones? What do they do all day in the woods?

They are not closely related (and to the person who said they both have hooves....llamas do not have regular hooves, they have padded feet on the bottom like dog's feet, covered with two toenails on the top). They chew similarly because they both chew cuds, along with cows, goats, and other ruminants.

Deer of all ages come out of the woods at all times of the day here, but they do prefer to hide and only come out when it's quiet and there is no one around. It's how they avoid predators.

Deers are of the family Cervidae. Llamas are of the family Camelidae. So they are not related.

deer and llamas are both ungulates meaning they have hooves, other ungulates are bovines(cows), sheep, goats, and horses.

Don't know the taxonomic classification though.
